The “M” number refers to the rootstock and determines the final size of the tree once fully grown.

Choose:

M 106 if you want a medium sized tree planted in a space minimum 3m diameter.

The M26, M9 and M27 are dwarfing rootstocks allowing the tree to be pot grown or pruned into shapes like espalier or cordons which can be grown in a very small space.
